Solitude
Is there anything nicer than a day of solitude? Of being alone, uninterrupted, focused on what ever I want to turn my attention to? To hear only the drip of my coffee maker, hum of my iMac, crunch of my Honey Nut Cheerios? Oh, Solitude, my old friend, how I have missed the days we used to spend together, frolicking in naps, reveling in task fulfillment. Yet, in these hours we have together today, let us not dwell on time gone by, but let us enjoy one another’s company. For soon enough this too shall pass and our silence will be replaced by chaos, productivity by diversions. But let us not think of that in this moment. Let us embrace this reunion and savor every sweet second, every click of the keyboard, every drop of coffee. Oh, Old Friend, how I have missed thee.

Love this post! It's funny. I used to hate solitude. Now I can't live without it every morning!
